Health officials are now monitoring 819 active cases as of Thursday, Feb. 18, down from more than 1,000 as recently as Friday, Feb. 11.
According to the Department of Health, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Dutchess has reached 21,131 out of more than 500,000 tests that have been administered countywide.
In the past week, 10 new virus-related deaths were reported in Dutchess, bringing the total to 398 since the pandemic began last year.
The seven-day rolling positive infection rate in Dutchess down to 4.19 percent after it was up near 7 percent earlier this month.
Fourteen COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Dutchess County hospitals in the past week, leaving a total of 75 being treated for the virus in Dutchess, down from 110.
Health officials said that 19,914 in Dutchess have contracted COVID-19 and recovered.

There are less than five active COVID-19 cases in Millbrook Village, Millerton Village, North East, Pawling Village, Pine Plains, Red Hook Village, Rhinebeck Village, and Tivoli Village.
There were 215,731 COVID-19 tests administered in New York on Feb. 17, according to Cuomo, resulting in 6,434 new cases for a 3.15 percent positive infection rate.
One hundred and forty COVID-19 patients were discharged from New York hospitals, as the total being treated dropped to 6,434 still being treated statewide, down by more than 800 a week ago. There are 1,258 patients in ICU, and 863 are currently intubated.
There were 114 new COVID-19-related deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
Statewide, a total of 1,548,979 positive COVID-19 cases have been confirmed out of 35.5 million tests that have been administered. There have been a total of 37,440 virus-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
